I didn’t expect to become a handbag designer. I was trained in fine art and graphic design and gave birth to my four daughters at a young age.
I was fully entrenched in family life when I realized there was a part of myself I had left behind.
I began to re-balance myself. The stories of women like Coco Channel and Jackie Cochrane captured me. Rather than drifting through life, these women made a conscious decision to pursue their passions.
I thought, maybe I could too. So here I am, in my early 40’s building a fashion brand. Encouraging women to make the most of their life.
Women are complicated, multi-faceted humans, with much to express. We often juggle many roles in life, and can forget the ones deep down inside. The ones that are just us.
To do something new, doesn’t mean we have to abandon our other loves. Embrace the wonderful complexities of life and learn to live and love it all.
This beautiful leather and satin bag is gorgeous and functional. I got it so that I had a bag for small groceries or other items - and when I did not need it, I could easily store it in the car, my desk , by my coat and shoes. It isn't as heavy or clumsy as a backpack, yet carries the same amount of material - kind of a merge between a back pak and a small cloth shopping bag. But very fashionable. Who needs plastic with this lovely alternative?
